Guidelines on establishment of accreditation of health laboratories
View/ Open
Abstract
In many countries of the World Health Organization's South-East Asia Region, laboratory accreditation, especially in the areas of medicine and health, is either not available or has not been implemented. This document provides guidelines on the facilities and personnel needed and directions on how to initiate the establishment of an accreditation process in a system. Beginning with national standards, the goal should be to achieve an internationally acceptable accreditation system. The laboratory accreditation system is important for test results to be accepted nationally and internationally.Citation
