"Por 110 años, el panamericanismo ha sido una fuerza poderosa hacia el progreso en salud, que ha permitido alcanzar niveles que pocos hubieran imaginado un siglo atrás. Al tiempo de celebrar esos avances, colocamos nuestras metas aun más altas, porque debemos cerrar las brechas de salud que persisten entre y dentro de los países. Para ello necesitamos convocar a la voluntad política y movilizar a la sociedad en su conjunto a fin de superar los determinantes históricos que obstaculizan nuestro camino hacia la seguridad humana y el desarrollo sostenible. Nuestro sueño compartido es que nuestro hemisferio pueda anunciar, más pronto que tarde, el cumplimiento de la meta de “salud para todos”.

"For 110 years, Pan Americanism has been a powerful force for health progress, leading to achievements that few could have imagined a century ago. As we celebrate those achievements, we also set our goals higher, toward bridging the persisting health gaps across and within countries. For that we need to build political will and mobilize all of society to overcome the historic health determinants that hamper our path to human security and sustainable development. Our shared dream is that, sooner rather than later, our hemisphere will be able to announce the realization of “Health for All.”
