|Abstract:||This paper describes the current situation prevailing in the South-East Asia (SEA) Region with regard to Health Information Systems, as well as efforts being made to strengthen it in Member countries of the Region. It brings out the main issues and challenges which are common to several countries of the Region. A brief summary of the “Conceptual Framework of the SEA Region’s Strategic Plan for strengthening Health Information Systems” is also presented. The paper is submitted to the Regional Committee for its review and comments.|
