Abstract
Various methods are already available to provide safe, accurate and reproducible measurements and observations in laboratory medicine. However, it is necessary to adhere to formalized procedures to maintain and improve services. The objectives of the present document are to assist laboratories to: Introduce, maintain and improve appropriately specified levels of services quality. Provide the basis for assuring (guaranteeing) an adequate quality of service to the customer.
