|Abstract:||The Strategic Action Plan (Action Plan) for the Health of Women in Europe aims to assist Member States and local governments in their efforts to achieve greater gender equity in health, health care and the implementation of Health21, and thus contribute to improving the status of women in society. The Action Plan aims to ensure women's health issues are explicit in any strategies to address inequities in health across the European Region. A group of experts together with representatives from WHO collaborating centres and members of the WHO Standing Committee for the Regional Committee were responsible for the development of this document. The Action Plan was endorsed by the thirty-four countries participating in the Third Meeting of Focal Points for Reproductive Health, Women's Health and Gender Mainstreaming in the European Region, Copenhagen 567 February 2001|
