This report summarizes the discussions of the Sixty-ninth Session of the Regional Committee held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 5–9 September 2016. At this session, the Committee reviewed and discussed a number of public health issues important to the Region, such as the Sustainable Development Goals, addressing noncommunicable diseases at the primary health care level, neglected tropical diseases, migration and health, and International Health Regulations post-2016, among others.
