Selected statistics on health workforce demographics


These matrices present the national statistics on demographics of the health workforce in countries where data are available. Data can be derived from multiple sources, including population censuses and surveys, facility based assessments, and routine administrative and management records. The diversity of sources means there may be considerable variability across countries in the coverage, quality and reference year of the original data.
