World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2012: The Great Transformation: Shaping New Models
25-29 January 2012
The World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting, known to many simply as "Davos," provides a rethinking of global systems and exploration of strategies and solutions that have positive transformational implications. For more than four decades, the Annual Meeting has provided leaders from industry, government, academia, civil society and the media with a platform to shape the global agenda and catalyse solutions at the start of each year. The Annual Meeting 2012 will convene under the theme: "The Great Transformation: Shaping New Models", whereby leaders return to their core purpose of defining what the future should look like, aligning stakeholders around that vision and inspiring their institutions to realize that vision.
Two private sector side events related to the UN Secretary General’s Every Woman, Every Child effort are being co-organized with PMNCH: 1) a high-level luncheon focusing on the Every Woman Every Child initiative; and 2) a brainstorming discussion with a call to action on transformative business models and the guide "Growing Buisness and Improving Women's and Children's Health”, which PMNCH has been developing in collaboration with FSG Impact. Both of these events will be aligned closely with the central theme in Davos this year.
