A complete training package consisting of guides, manuals, visual aids, forms, checklists, story cards, abundant exercises and answers intended to facilitate courses in breastfeeding counselling. Noting that breastfeeding counselling and support skills are rarely included in the curricula of either doctors, nurses, or midwives, the course aims to enable health workers to develop the clinical and interpersonal skills needed to promote good breastfeeding practices, recognize the difficulties mothers may have, and help overcome problems. Materials are designed so that even trainers with limited teaching experience will be able to conduct up-to-date and effective courses. |
