| Summary |
|
Reports the results of a study of the incidence of cancers diagnosed in young Israelis under the age of 30 years. Unique in several respects, the study draws on data collected from 1960 to 1989 and maintained in the cancer registry of Israel, a country largely peopled by migrants and their children. The Israel Cancer Registry, which contains records of almost 200,000 cancer cases in the Jewish population registered over 30 years, is distinguished by its inclusion of data on the country of birth and date of migration for each case, and the country of birth for both the father and mother.
